Digital PDF; no physical toy shipped.
Plan a route, follow the instructions and see whether the destination is reached. Robot Rescue Route Cards contains unplugged coding worksheets that keep the robot adventure on paper. Finger tracing and pencil commands replace screens, apps and physical robot programming.
Inside Robot Rescue Route Cards
Sixteen paper coding routes progress from 4x4 to 6x6 grids, with later pickup checkpoints and move budgets. Includes a command guide, two worked examples, shortest-route solutions and create-your-own page.
- 16 unplugged route puzzles.
- 27 pages per edition, including guides and answer or support pages.
- Suggested ages 5-9, with adult support.
There are sixteen route puzzles with answer paths. The activity is about planning and checking a route on the page; no floor course, device or online account is needed.
How to use this pack
Read the command guide and try the two worked examples before choosing a route. Begin with a smaller grid, trace a plan and check each move against the printed obstacles and destination.
Later puzzles use pickup checkpoints and move budgets as the grids progress from 4 by 4 to 6 by 6. Compare a completed route with the supplied shortest-route solution and move count, then use the create-your-own page for a new paper puzzle. The printed commands do not control a toy.
All sixteen solution paths and shortest move counts independently checked.
Materials and safe use
Paper and a pencil. Trace with a finger or pencil; a paper robot or physical toy is optional and not required. No device or online account is used.
These are paper-only coding puzzles and do not program or control any store robot. Use finger tracing instead of loose markers around children who mouth objects. No floor obstacle courses or robot hardware changes are required.
Your files and printing choices
The download ZIP contains four PDF editions plus a README. Each has the same 27 pages. Choose ONE edition to print:
- A4 Color (210 x 297 mm).
- A4 Low Ink (210 x 297 mm).
- US Letter Color (8.5 x 11 inches).
- US Letter Low Ink (8.5 x 11 inches).
27 pages means pages per edition, not four times that amount of different content. Covers, guides and answer or support pages are included in the page count. The English-language PDFs are printable, not digitally fillable forms.
Open the ZIP, read the README and choose your paper size and color preference. Print selected pages portrait and single-sided. Start at actual size / 100%; check the preview and use fit to printable area if edges clip. You need a ZIP/PDF reader and printer access. Paper, ink and supplies are not included.
