Who is this for?
Suggested ages 6-9 with an adult handling all ice and water.

Melting Ice Investigation : one PDF with 22 total pages. Safe setup, matching-condition guidance, real observation records, fictional evidence tables, melt-time window reasoning, repeat-trial comparisons and caregiver answers. Track observed ice status without inventing missed checks. Compare no-added-water and small room-temperature-water setups cautiously. Describe a time window rather than treating a check time as an exact melt time. Page counts include covers, guidance and answer or support pages; they are not counts of unique activities.

A CLOSER LOOK
Suggested ages 6-9 with an adult handling all ice and water.
An adult supervises throughout and handles ordinary ice with a large spoon. No dry ice, hot water, heaters, salt, glass, direct sunlight or tasting. Use small shallow stable plastic containers and no more than two tablespoons of added water; clean up immediately. Results and timing vary. Fictional paper cases can replace practical work. No equipment or supplies included.
