All eight printed investigations can be completed with paper and pencil. They do not ask children to recreate fictional procedures, mix chemicals or operate equipment. This is an evidence-and-recording notebook, not a laboratory kit.

How to use this pack

Choose one printed investigation and use a spare sheet to cover its evidence panel while the child makes a prediction. Reveal the supplied record, then discuss what was actually shown before moving to an explanation.

Use the worked example and answer discussion to separate a supported conclusion from an attractive guess. Invite a next question rather than treating uncertainty as a mistake. The three reusable notebook pages can also record an optional investigation chosen from an adult-approved kit manual, without replacing that manual's instructions.

Materials and safe use

Paper, a pencil and a spare sheet to cover the evidence panel. The eight printed investigations need no equipment. Optional real investigations must come from a kit manual approved by the supervising adult.

This pack does not supply experiment recipes, chemical mixtures or instructions for operating equipment. Do not improvise physical procedures from the fictional records. For optional kit activities, follow every manual safety instruction and use adult supervision.

Your files and printing choices

The download ZIP contains four PDF editions plus a README. Each has the same 18 pages. Choose ONE edition to print:

• A4 Color (210 x 297 mm).
• A4 Low Ink (210 x 297 mm).
• US Letter Color (8.5 x 11 inches).
• US Letter Low Ink (8.5 x 11 inches).

18 pages means pages per edition, not four times that amount of different content. Covers, guides and answer or support pages are included in the page count. The English-language PDFs are printable, not digitally fillable forms.

Open the ZIP, read the README and choose your paper size and color preference. Print selected pages portrait and single-sided. Start at actual size / 100%; check the preview and use fit to printable area if edges clip. You need a ZIP/PDF reader and printer access. Paper, ink and supplies are not included.

Household printing license
