Help a child slow down and notice whether each picture has received exactly one delivery. One Object One Count is a set of one-to-one correspondence worksheets with a simple drawing task: make one pencil mark for each pictured recipient, then check what happened.

Inside One Object One Count

Twelve delivery mats ask children to give exactly one pencil mark to each pictured recipient. Quantities range from 1 to 10. Includes a worked example, delivery-error exercise, replay invitation and answer guide.

  • 12 one-to-one delivery mats.
  • 18 pages per edition, including guides and answer or support pages.
  • Suggested ages 3-6, with adult support.

Quantities range from 1 to 10. The task is matching one mark to one recipient, not adding real objects or preparing food. Children can work with an adult reading the prompts aloud.

How to use this pack

Read a delivery prompt aloud and look at the worked example together. Invite the child to point to each recipient and draw its delivery, moving through the page in a way that makes sense to them.

Count the recipients and marks, then ask whether anyone was missed or received more than one. Use the delivery-error exercise to talk through a mistake without rushing to erase it. The replay invitation gives you a reason to revisit the same idea after the first twelve mats.

Count totals and delivery-error answer included.

Materials and safe use

Paper and a pencil or crayon. The child draws deliveries, so loose counters are unnecessary. Optional large counters must be appropriate for the child and selected by an adult.

Use only pretend pictures for food-related prompts; no real food or small objects are required. Adults choose materials. Loose pieces are not suitable for children who mouth objects. Read all prompts aloud as needed.

Your files and printing choices

The download ZIP contains four PDF editions plus a README. Each has the same 18 pages. Choose ONE edition to print:

  • A4 Color (210 x 297 mm).
  • A4 Low Ink (210 x 297 mm).
  • US Letter Color (8.5 x 11 inches).
  • US Letter Low Ink (8.5 x 11 inches).

18 pages means pages per edition, not four times that amount of different content. Covers, guides and answer or support pages are included in the page count. The English-language PDFs are printable, not digitally fillable forms.

Open the ZIP, read the README and choose your paper size and color preference. Print selected pages portrait and single-sided. Start at actual size / 100%; check the preview and use fit to printable area if edges clip. You need a ZIP/PDF reader and printer access. Paper, ink and supplies are not included.

Household printing license

The purchasing household may print and reuse these pages with its own children. Files and printed pages may not be sold, redistributed, publicly uploaded, or used as a shared classroom or business resource. For use beyond one household, contact WonderKidsToy through the store before copying.

Which paper sizes are included, and must I print every file?

Choose one of the A4 or US Letter editions in Color or Low Ink. All four repeat the same content.

What supplies do we need?

Paper and a pencil or crayon. The child draws deliveries, so loose counters are unnecessary. Optional large counters must be appropriate for the child and selected by an adult.
