One simple shape can become more than one idea. Shapes into Everyday Objects uses shape drawing worksheets to invite two different objects or versions of an object from a starting shape. The aim is to explore possibilities, not to trace a perfect outline or copy a model answer.

Inside Shapes into Everyday Objects

Sixteen invitations turn simple shapes into two different objects or versions of an object. Includes an original worked wheel-and-flower transformation, personal idea bank and caregiver discussion prompts.

  • 16 two-drawing invitations.
  • 22 pages per edition, including guides and answer or support pages.
  • Suggested ages 4-9, with adult support.

Each invitation asks for two drawings, but the pack contains sixteen invitations, not thirty-two separate activity pages. Simple pencils or crayons are enough; no art device or purchased kit is required.

How to use this pack

Look at the worked wheel-and-flower transformation together, then choose one of the sixteen invitations. Ask what the starting shape could become and let the child try a first drawing before thinking about a second possibility.

Compare the two drawings: what stayed the same, and which added lines or details changed the idea? Use the personal idea bank to keep possibilities for later. Caregiver discussion prompts can support a conversation without deciding that one drawing is the correct one.

Worked transformation and open-ended guidance; no fixed picture answers.

Materials and safe use

Paper and crayons or pencils. The printed shapes are starting points, not outlines that must be traced exactly. No device or purchased art kit is needed.

Adults choose age-appropriate art supplies and supervise caps or small parts. The pack is not a device template or robot operating card. Use any optional art device only according to its own instructions.

Your files and printing choices

The download ZIP contains four PDF editions plus a README. Each has the same 22 pages. Choose ONE edition to print:

  • A4 Color (210 x 297 mm).
  • A4 Low Ink (210 x 297 mm).
  • US Letter Color (8.5 x 11 inches).
  • US Letter Low Ink (8.5 x 11 inches).

22 pages means pages per edition, not four times that amount of different content. Covers, guides and answer or support pages are included in the page count. The English-language PDFs are printable, not digitally fillable forms.

Open the ZIP, read the README and choose your paper size and color preference. Print selected pages portrait and single-sided. Start at actual size / 100%; check the preview and use fit to printable area if edges clip. You need a ZIP/PDF reader and printer access. Paper, ink and supplies are not included.

Household printing license

The purchasing household may print and reuse these pages with its own children. Files and printed pages may not be sold, redistributed, publicly uploaded, or used as a shared classroom or business resource. For use beyond one household, contact WonderKidsToy through the store before copying.
