A group can look bigger without containing more. More Fewer or the Same uses more, fewer and same worksheets to explore that distinction through paired dot groups. The child can compare by matching, pointing or drawing lines rather than relying only on the space a group fills.
Inside More Fewer or the Same
Sixteen comparisons explore more, fewer and the same number using varied dot arrangements. Includes a worked pairing example, two repair tasks, create-a-comparison replay mat and answers.
- 16 comparison challenges.
- 23 pages per edition, including guides and answer or support pages.
- Suggested ages 3-6, with adult support.
Varied dot arrangements keep attention on quantity rather than visual spread. The pack offers a focused comparison activity for home use, with adult reading support whenever it is helpful.
How to use this pack
Try the worked pairing example together before choosing a comparison challenge. Match dots across the groups and notice whether any dots are left without a partner. Ask the child to explain which group has more, fewer or the same number.
Use the two repair tasks to consider how a comparison changes when a group is adjusted. The create-a-comparison replay mat lets the child invent a pair for someone else to discuss. Refer to the answer support for counts, differences and repair examples rather than making speed the goal.
Comparison counts, differences and repair examples included.
Materials and safe use
Paper and a pencil. You may draw matching lines, point to pairs or use separate finger points. No counters are needed.
Use pencil marks or finger pointing rather than loose parts. Read prompts aloud as needed, and keep the focus on comparing quantities rather than speed.
Your files and printing choices
The download ZIP contains four PDF editions plus a README. Each has the same 23 pages. Choose ONE edition to print:
- A4 Color (210 x 297 mm).
- A4 Low Ink (210 x 297 mm).
- US Letter Color (8.5 x 11 inches).
- US Letter Low Ink (8.5 x 11 inches).
23 pages means pages per edition, not four times that amount of different content. Covers, guides and answer or support pages are included in the page count. The English-language PDFs are printable, not digitally fillable forms.
Open the ZIP, read the README and choose your paper size and color preference. Print selected pages portrait and single-sided. Start at actual size / 100%; check the preview and use fit to printable area if edges clip. You need a ZIP/PDF reader and printer access. Paper, ink and supplies are not included.
Household printing license
